  11. I just got a new USR 28.8 v.34 sportser external modem and I can't
  12. seem to get it configured. I have an internal sound/fax/modem 14.4
  13. that came with this NEC 7020. I got the new modem plugged into serial
  14. port one. The old modem is still in the machine because I need the
  15. sound part of it. I followed the installation instructions(I thought),
  16. but whenever I try to logg on to my ISP with the new modem in Trumpet
  17. 2.0b i get a modem not responding message.

  19. Do I need to take the old modem out and somehow disable it, I put the
  20. new modem on comm 1 and the old modem is on comm 2 so I thought there
  21. would be no conflicts. But I am still stumped. I am new to this so
  22. that's why I probably sound stupid. Any advice any one can give would
  23. be greatly appreciated.
